Friday 2 August: We Sweep Into Broome

Today we are on the lands of the Yawuru people, the traditional owners of the lands and waters in and around Rubibi (the town of Broome).

We said goodbye to our friends at Sandfire Roadhouse and after a 320km drive we arrived in Broome around midday and took some time to set ourselves up for the next week.

Until we meet again

We are are 20 meters from the beach, and already we have seen the movement of the tides.

Our friends Ian and Elizabeth are arriving from London on Sunday, so we will of course be spending our time with them. The blog will probably be a little irregular over the next few days.

  7. Congratulations you have arrived in Broome. It’s a special part of the world. I see it’s a crescent moon so you may not be there for the full moon but you’ll feel the tides for sure. Enjoy
