Wednesday 19 June: Chops Does It Hard

Apparently there is a Dog Show near the caravan park tomorrow. Everywhere Chops looks there are immaculately groomed and perfect breed-proportioned dogs. It can be tough for a rescue dog like Chops. He seems to be making the best of it, however.

We spent a relaxing few hours at the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens a little way from Mildura at Mourquong NSW.  The concept of the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens was born out of a need for a semi-arid land ‘botanic gardens’ that was brought to the attention of the Mildura Development Council in 1983, by three scientists from CSIRO.

It is truly amazing what has been achieved, and a must see for anyone interested in plants, trees and wildlife.

Tomorrow we travel to Lake Bonney in South Australia.

  1. Chops might feel superior to those paraded coiffed dogs. He has after all triumphed over adversity and now travels in style in his mobile kennel; which his human friends can also enter. He never feels alone and has many new smells to check out when he ventures beyond his funmobile.

  2. Chops is certainly living his (and any other dog’s) best life. We love you Chops !
